After seven quarters of losses, "Naiad" generated profits for the second consecutive quarter. What have you worked for this return to profitability?
First, our objective was to establish and strengthen the fantastic team we have at all levels, especially in hotels, to offer our customers a unique experience. And the teams at headquarters and regional offices have really worked in synergy. Today the results speak for themselves. Second, we attribute our strong performance to strategy "marketing" that we have put in place by the end of last year, which begins to bear fruit. Our results are up in the three countries where we operate. Excellent results were achieved by our two hotels in Reunion, and by Diva Maldives, the latter contributing 50% of Group profits for the quarter.

Among the several measures which have been announced are plans to double the number of solar water heaters in the island by December 2009 from the present 10 per cent of households up to 92 per cent as in countries with similar climate. Mauritius is going to face a serious shortage of vegetables in the coming months due to the torrential rains, which washed away many fields of the island last week.
